The Old Town Literary Walking Tour offers a weekly exploration of Key West's rich literary history, spotlighting the remarkable authors who found both sanctuary and creative inspiration on the island. Borrowing from the original blueprint laid out by David A. Kaufelt, the updated tour offers an enlightening journey through downtown Key West, highlighting former residences and frequented spots of literary figures such as Tennessee Williams, Shel Silverstein, Elizabeth Bishop, and Robert Frost, while also showcasing lesser-known local talents. The tour, approximately 90 minutes long, starts at the Monroe County Public Library on 700 Fleming Street and concludes near Greene and Elizabeth Streets in Key West. Participants are advised to arrive on time and wear comfortable footwear. The cost for this unique literary experience is $30 per person.
