The prestigious Key West Fishing Tournament will kick off on December 1st, 2022, offering anglers of all ages and skill levels a unique opportunity to partake in a multidivisional, free-entry event that has been running successfully for over five decades. With a total of 46 qualifying species to target, both inshore and offshore fishing opportunities, and various line classes and casting categories to compete in, the tournament provides a true test of skill and encourages the release of game fish. Trophies and recognition will be awarded to those who post the heaviest catch of 33 species and for the most releases of barracuda, blue marlin, bonefish, dolphin, permit, sailfish and tarpon. Participants can enter their catches at a tournament weigh station in the Lower Keys or Key West, or by submitting photos online, and can compete in the men's, women's, junior (10-15) or Pee Wee (under 10) divisions. All entrants receive certificates of recognition and are eligible to win a range of awards, including the highly sought-after Master Angler title.
