Key West Realtors Charity Fishing Tournament Slated for June 30-July 1

The Key West Association of Realtors has announced the upcoming Charity Fishing Tournament to be held on June 30 and July 1. This event will not only provide participants the thrill of competition, but it will also support a worthy cause, as tournament proceeds are earmarked to benefit Fair Insurance Rates in Monroe (FIRM).
Tournament Details

The tournament is set in the waters surrounding the island city and the Lower Florida Keys, offering anglers a splendid backdrop for their activities.

Participants will compete for cash prizes in three species categories: mahi-mahi (or dolphin fish), wahoo, and tuna. The heaviest individual fish in each category will secure the prize, with all scoring based on the weight of a single fish.

The 2023 tournament commences with a kick-off party and captains meeting at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 30. The Perry Hotel & Marina, located at 7001 Shrimp Road on Stock Island, will serve as the official tournament headquarters.

Fishing will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 1. All competitors are required to bring their catches to the weigh station at Perry’s marina between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

A tournament dinner and awards presentation will follow the fishing activities on Saturday.
Registration and Fees
- An early entry fee of $450 per boat team allows up to six anglers to compete in the tournament.
