Key West Kingfish Mayhem Features Adrenaline Action and Cash Prizes


Anglers will be enticed by the hefty king mackerel and the thrilling competition at the 2023 Key West Kingfish Mayhem tournament. To be held from Thursday, January 12th to Sunday, January 15th, the tournament features two divisions - the Pro division, open only to registrants of the five-leg Kingfish Mayhem Pro Series, and the Open division, welcoming all interested teams and offering cash prizes. The Open division's top finisher, the team that brings in the heaviest kingfish, will take home a grand prize of $10,000. Second and third place finishers will receive $3,000 and $2,000, respectively, with cash prizes for places up to fifth. Teams can also opt for the optional entry categories for additional awards. Registration for both divisions will take place at Oceans Edge Resort & Marina on Stock Island from 4-6 PM on Thursday, January 12th, followed by a captains meeting at 7:30 PM. Fishing for Pro division teams will be held on Friday and Saturday, with the Open division fishing on Saturday only. Teams must check in with the tournament committee by 5 PM to be eligible to weigh their fish. Awards will be presented at noon on Sunday, January 15th, at Oceans Edge Marina. The Open division entry fee is $500 per team, with no limit on team size.
