VFW Fishing Tournament
When: June 16 - June 18, 2023
Where: VFW Post 3911, 2200 N Roosevelt Blvd, Key West, FL 33040
Welcome to the 11th annual VFW Fishing Tournament in Key West! This tournament is known up and down the Florida Keys as being a family event with cash prizes for the heaviest fish from five different species, including angler cash prizes in seven different categories. The tournament is capped off by an awards dinner and presentation of prizes on Sunday night.
The big news is that we have increased the Dolphin first prize from $3,000 to $5,000, and all the other cash prizes have been adjusted accordingly. The bigger news is that we now have a super bonus prize! The biggest Dolphin over 50 pounds will win a new Toyota Corolla (or $20,000 cash). We think that our event is one of the best in the state of Florida, and now with our enhanced prize structure, it's even better. If somebody hooks up a 50 pound plus Dolphin, and is in the two bigger Calcuttas, their winnings will be in the $40,000 range.
Whether you are a returning angler or new to the tournament scene, this is one event you do not want to miss. Our Tournament is unique because we have no paid employees, and all the money raised goes to the VFW Relief Fund. The Relief Fund is used for needy and disabled veterans in the Florida Keys.
So come on down to Key West and join in the fun! We know you'll have a great time, and you might just walk away with a big prize.
