Tab Benoit, a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and guitarist, has built an extraordinary career spanning over 30 years in the realm of Delta swamp blues. Renowned for his gritty and soulful sound, Benoit has earned a devoted following and secured five Blues Music Awards, including the coveted BB King Entertainer of the Year—twice—and an induction into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. His impressive collaborations feature legendary names such as Junior Wells, Dr. John, Willie Nelson, and many others, highlighting his influential role in the blues music scene.
Beyond his musical accomplishments, Tab Benoit is passionately dedicated to environmental preservation. As the founder and driving force behind Voice of the Wetlands, he champions efforts to protect Louisiana's coastal waters. In recognition of his commitment to conservation, Benoit was honored with the Governor's Award for Conservationist of the Year by the Louisiana Wildlife Federation in 2010. His environmental advocacy is further showcased in the iMax motion picture Hurricane on the Bayou, a powerful documentary examining Hurricane Katrina's effects and the urgent need to restore the wetlands.
