The 28th Annual Key West Half Marathon & Runfest is officially open for registration, bringing runners from around the globe to the island paradise from January 16–17, 2027. Voted one of USA Today’s Top 10 Half Marathons in the U.S. in 2023, this event offers multiple race options including the Half Marathon, 5K, 8K, 10K, plus fun challenges like the Big Pecker Challenge (5K, 10K, Half Marathon) and the Lil’ Pecker Challenge (5K, 8K, 10K). Participants receive race swag such as shirts, medals, hats, bags, plus food, drinks, rum tastings, and lively parties. Highlights include:

Half Marathon (Jan. 17): Scenic course past Duval Street, Southernmost Point, Smathers Beach, and a finish near the Half Shell Raw Bar.

5K & 10K (Jan. 16): Coastal routes starting at Higg’s Beach.

Festivities: Runner’s meet-and-greet, expo, pasta party, guest speaker, awards ceremonies, live music by Cayo Ritmo Big Band, Papa’s Pilar Rum Stroll, Beach N’ Beer Mile, pool parties, and multiple farewell celebrations.

Pricing: Half Marathon starts at $144.95 + fee (price increases after Sept. 30, 2026). The 5K starts at $64.95 + fee.
